best carry junglers

In this best junglers post, we will look at the best junglers for you to carry in Season 14. In this post, we’re not looking at the Champions that can “carry” games. We’re looking for Champions that can Solo Carry, that can 1v9, that can win despite your team and despite your team. Split pushing, team fighting, objective farming, ganking—you can do everything.

Without further ado, let’s go over the best carry junglers in season 14.

Viego

viego

Let’s start with Viego because he excels in all aspects of the game. He brings early-game aggression and the option to hold off and wait for the right moment at level six. He can easily control the map with his E. Viego can also take down camps quickly and adapt to new itemization effectively, which is crucial for carrying junglers across different seasons.

When playing Viego, it’s important to remember to secure camps, dragons, and resets, and then push the map, actively seeking skirmishes and team fights.

Avoid getting stuck in mid/late game farming and relaxing, as Viego prefers to stay active. None of the champions on this list are ones to relax with. Keep pushing and accelerating, and you’ll be able to assert your dominance in games, whether you’re behind or ahead. It doesn’t matter—they all perform well in any game state, provided you have skilled jungle play.

Evelynn

evelynn

Next up is Evelynn. Evelynn is typically considered to be more of a Diamond-plus pick. However, she can still be effective in Gold and above, although it’s more challenging to play harder-to-execute Assassins at lower ranks. Nonetheless, she can annihilate any champion on the enemy team.

The key with Evelynn is to prioritize reaching level six before focusing on early-game grubs. Once you hit level six, you can start looking for ganks and opportunities to counter-jungle or take objectives like Dragon or Herald. Make sure to focus on being proactive after reaching level six.

It’s okay to have a low CS per minute (CSPM) on Evelynn, as she’s a farming jungler and becomes a dominant ganker after reaching level six. If you’re struggling to find openings, it’s fine to prioritize farming until opportunities arise. Ultimately, the only limitation to carrying with Evelynn is your proficiency with the champion.

Kha’Zix

kha'zix

Next up is the one and only Kha’Zix, the Eternal AD Assassin. Throughout history, Kha’Zix has consistently been a strong pick, unlike many other AD assassins who have had their ups and downs. Kha’Zix is known for his adaptability, which extends beyond just his evolutions to also include his itemization.

While you can build him as a Fighter or an Assassin, I recommend learning to play him as an Assassin. However, you also have the option to play him as a Fighter, focusing on farming early on and then transitioning to a more proactive playstyle. The flexibility in itemization and playstyle makes Kha’Zix unique among Assassins.

You can also build him as a Bruiser, which allows you to fly under the radar as other, more popular champions get banned. Ultimately, the only thing holding you back from climbing with Kha’Zix is yourself.

Kayn

kayn

When it comes to all-around good picks, I believe Kayn is a solid choice. Even though Kayn may have some difficulties in Blue or Red form at times, there’s always a way around it.

Kayn offers a lot of item versatility. The key is that he controls his farming tempo, counter-jungling, cheese, and the Mid and late-game with his form. He determines how much he ganks, how much he farms, and what objectives he takes. In short, Kayn controls the game.

This means that as long as you make the right decisions and choose the right forms, runes, and builds for your playstyle, you’ll be in a good position. There are several great ways to go, and you can subtly differentiate that as you like. Kayn is a solo carry champion. You don’t need to worry as much about what your team is doing. Kayn is the epitome of a 1v9 champion, but the 1v9 champions differ slightly in lower MMR for different reasons.

Bel’Veth

bel'veth

In my opinion, Bel’veth is a strong pick for high ELO play due to her synergy with aggressive champions. Specifically, she excels in Gold, Platinum, and higher ranks, but may not be as effective in lower ELOs. She is particularly adept at high-pressure jungling and disrupting the enemy jungler early on in the game.

Bel’veth’s strength lies in her ability to deny the enemy jungler’s resources by ganking and invading early. It’s crucial to understand that your game plan hinges on neutralizing the enemy jungler’s influence.

It’s important to note that Bel’veth is not suited for AFK farming. While this technique can be effective, it doesn’t align with her proactive playstyle. It’s essential to secure kills, gather buffs, and transform into her strongest form by securing objectives such as Herald and pushing turrets aggressively.

To maximize Bel’veth’s potential, utilize her Void fishies, mites, Herald, and Baron effectively. Failing to capitalize on these resources and not dealing the most damage to turrets as Bel’veth indicates a problem.

By mastering the balance between dealing damage to champions and turrets, you can elevate your gameplay and climb the ranks in high ELO. Ultimately, with 1v9 champions like Bel’veth, the only obstacle to achieving high ELO is yourself.

Brand

brand

In lower MMR, the 1v9 champions have slight differences for different reasons, but the first one up has to be Brand. His clear speed was slowed down because it was way too strong, and he was good everywhere. However, in low ELO where everyone clears slowly anyway, Brand stands out.

Brand doesn’t take a lot of brainpower, which means when you clear quickly with him—and again, it doesn’t matter if you miss spells because they come up so quickly—you do such a copious amount of damage just sitting in a bush and hitting your Liandry’s, Rylais, and people are going to die.

You get so much HP from the itemization, it’s ridiculous how strong this champion is in low ELO. When you just clear well, play for six, get objectives, burn people down, position correctly, press your R in the back of fights to knock them around like a comet that’s lost itself. He just doesn’t suffer from the same negatives of being punished by bad positioning as other mage junglers.

That means in low ELO, despite the fact he was nerfed, his win rate is insane still.

Briar

briar

Briar requires fewer brain cells to play compared to Brand. Her playstyle has shifted from being an assassin to a fighter, and she is now easier to use.

This makes her a strong pick in low to mid ranks, but she is weaker in higher ranks. If you’re in lower or mid-MMR, go ahead and use Briar, but play her as a sustained fighter instead of an assassin. Focus on disrupting the enemy, healing, and using your ultimate strategically.

Control objectives and be smart about your early-game ganks and invades. If you play her this way, there’s no reason you shouldn’t do well in every game.
