Playing with friends and tired of running to catch up? One command drops you right next to any player, or pulls them to you. This guide covers how to teleport to another player, how to teleport someone to you, and the target selector shortcuts that make it instant.
Everything here is confirmed in the current 2026 version of Minecraft (26.2) and works in both Java and Bedrock.
Quick answer: with cheats on, open the chat and type /tp PlayerName to teleport yourself to that player. To pull a player to you instead, type /tp PlayerName @s (the @s means yourself). Both /tp and /teleport work the same.

Step 1: Turn On Cheats

- Pull a friend to you: /tp PlayerName @s, where @s stands for yourself. Now they land at your feet.
- Send one player to another: /tp Player1 Player2 teleports Player1 to Player2’s location.
- Gather everyone: /tp @a YourName teleports all players to you at once, great for starting an event or a boss fight together.
Target Selector Shortcuts
Instead of typing names, you can use target selectors, which the game fills in for you:
- @s – yourself (the one running the command)
- @p – the nearest player
- @a – all players
- @r – a random player
- @e – any entity, including mobs
So /tp @a @s teleports everyone to you without typing a single name. On Bedrock and console you can also tap the / button in chat and use the teleport menu to pick players from a list, no typing required.
