Dbd Trickster Builds Guide

The Trickster is a Dead by Daylight Killer known for his deadly accuracy with throwing knives and turning simple survivor actions like vaulting windows and dropping pallets into lethal encounters. As a twisted K-Pop Idol, his stylish showmanship is matched only by his gleeful bloodlust. With his power, Showstopper, he can quickly overwhelm running survivors with his arsenal of blades. Let’s go over the best Trickster builds to make the most out of him.

Best Trickster Build 2024

Dbd Best Trickster Build

The Trickster is a skilled character in area defence and high DPS, which makes it very effective for quickly downing survivors, especially when using their Main Event ability. Certain perks, such as Corrupt Intervention, can force survivors into your territory, while Pain Resonance can disrupt generator progress. Agitation helps in reaching hooked survivors faster, particularly useful in places like the basement. Lastly, No Way Out buys valuable endgame time without much extra effort, making this a solid and straightforward build for Trickster.

Recommended Add-ons: Caged Heart Shoes & Bloody Boa.

  • Corrupt Intervention (The Plague) – The Entity blocks all 3 Generators farthest from you for 120 seconds at the start of the trial. Corrupt Intervention deactivates in advance once the first Survivor is placed in the Dying State.
  • Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance (The Artist) – At the start of the trial, 4 random hooks are transformed into Scourge Hooks, which are identified by their white auras. You’ll begin the trial with 4 tokens on the Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance. Whenever a survivor is hooked on a Scourge Hook for the first time, 1 token will be consumed, and the following effects will take place: The generator with the highest progression will explode and immediately regress by 25% of its total progression. After that, normal generator regression will be applied.
  • Agitation (The Trapper) – When carrying a Survivor, you experience a movement speed increase of 18% and a 12-meter expansion of your Terror Radius.
  • No Way Out (The Trickster) – For each Survivor hooked for the first time, No Way Out gains a Token. When the Exit Gates are powered, No Way Out triggers: upon a Survivor interacting with an Exit Gate Switch, you receive a Loud Noise Notification, and The Entity blocks both Exit Gate Switches for 12 seconds, plus an extra 12 seconds for each Token you possess, capped at a maximum of 60 seconds.

Aggressive Trickster Build

Aggressive Trickster Build

This build promotes an aggressive playstyle by providing perks for quickly locating and disrupting survivors’ generator progress.

Recommended Add-ons: Diamond Cufflinks & Diamond Cufflinks.

  • Pop Goes the Weasel (The Clown) – After hooking a Survivor, Pop Goes the Weasel activates for 45 seconds, allowing you to regress a Generator by 30% of its current progression instantly when performing the Damage Generator Action, with normal generator regression applying afterward.
  • Bamboozle (The Clown) – After vaulting a Window, Bamboozle activates, prompting The Entity to block that Window for the next 16 seconds, preventing Survivors from vaulting it, and increasing your general Vaulting speed by 15%.
  • Lethal Pursuer (The Nemesis) – At the beginning of the Trial, all Survivor Auras are revealed to you for 9 seconds, this perk also extends the duration of a Survivor’s Aura being revealed to you by an additional 2 seconds.

Trickster Blood Favour Build

Trickster Blood Favour Build

This build centers around the Hex: Blood Favour perk, which is ideal for Trickster. Since Trickster’s knives have no cooldown, he is not like other killers who hit the survivor and slow down. The Trickster is particularly good at keeping up with survivors and preventing them from escaping. When you hit them with a normal attack or even more knives, the entity will block all the pallets around them. Relying on Hex: Undying to protect Hex: Blood Favour for a longer time. This is a really fun build that I highly recommend.

Recommended Add-ons: Fizz-Spin Soda & Melodious Murder.

  • Hex: Blood Favour (The Blight) – Whenever a Survivor is injured or dying state, this hex calls upon The Entity to block all Pallets within 32 meters of the Survivor’s location from being pulled down for the next 15 seconds. These effects persist until its corresponding Hex Totem is cleansed or blessed.
  • Hex: Undying (The Blight) – You gain the ability to see the Auras of Survivors within 4 meters of any Dull Totem. When another Perk’s Hex Totem is cleansed or blessed, its Hex is transferred to the Hex: Undying Totem, along with any accumulated Tokens, thereby disabling Hex: Undying. These effects persist until the corresponding Hex Totem is cleansed or blessed.
  • Darkness Revealed (The Dredge) – When you search a Locker, the Auras of all Survivors within 8 meters of any Locker are revealed to you for 5 seconds.
  • Deadlock (The Cenobite) – Whenever a Generator is completed, The Entity blocks the Generator with the most progression for 30 seconds. During this time, the Aura of the blocked Generator is revealed to you in white.

Best Trickster Add-ons

  • Death Throes Compilation – For 6 seconds, you can see the auras of survivors who were hit during the Main Event.
  • Iridescent Photocard – For each consecutive Blade Hit, a stackable +1% Haste Status Effect is applied, up to a maximum of +7%. This effect is lost when a Blade is missing or a Survivor is damaged.
  • Fizz-Spin Soda – Increases the time before a Combo ends in the Main Event by 15%.
  • Diamond Cufflinks – For 6 seconds, you can see the Auras of survivors who are one hit away from maximum Laceration.
