The Pig, also known as Amanda Young, is a killer in Dead by Daylight who brings a menacing presence to the game. She inherits Jigsaw’s legacy of psychological torment, and with her ability to lurk in the shadows and surprise unsuspecting Survivors, she adds a new layer of fear to the gameplay. By attaching Reverse Bear Traps to wounded Survivors, she introduces a race against time, forcing them to prioritize survival over other objectives, such as repairing generators. In this Dead by Daylight guide, we’ll provide a compilation of the Best Pig Builds for 2024, including both teachable and non-teachable perks and add-ons.
Pig Best Non-Teachable Build

This Pig build is perfect for beginners, punishing rescues, providing generator tracking, hindering survivor healing, and offering increased speed and easier survivor catches in the end game, all without overwhelming complexity.
- Hex: No One Escapes Death (General Perk) – Once the exit gates are activated, this Hex is applied to any remaining Dull Totems on the map. While the Hex is active, Survivors suffer from the Exposed status effect. Your movement speed increased by 4%. Once the Hex’s effect is revealed to the Survivors, the Hex Totem’s aura is visible to them at a distance of 4 meters. This range gradually increases over the next 30 seconds to 24 meters. The Hex effects last as long as the related Hex Totem is standing.
- Make Your Choice (The Pig) – When a Survivor rescues another from a hook at least 32 meters away from you, Make Your Choice causes the Survivor to scream and gives them the Exposed status effect for 60 seconds. Make Your Choice has a cooldown of 60 seconds.
- Surveillance (The Pig) – Improves one’s aura reading ability. Any regressing generator will be highlighted with a white aura. If the regression on a generator is interrupted, it will be highlighted in yellow for 16 seconds. Noises from generator repairs can be heard from an additional 8 meters away.
- Sloppy Butcher (General Perk) – Basic attack wounds cause Survivors to experience Hemorrhage and Mangled status effects. Increases the rate at which healing progression is lost due to hemorrhage by 25%. Both status effects are removed once the Survivor has fully healed.
Best Pig Build 2024

This Pig build is one of the most diabolical and oppressive setups in Dead by Daylight. It makes totems nearly impossible to cleanse due to reduced speed penalties, keeps survivors constantly revealed and impaired by screaming, interrupts their actions with every scream, and severely hinders their repair and cleansing speeds, creating a situation where survivors face an unwinnable struggle against overwhelming odds.
- Thanatophobia (The Nurse) – Each injured, dying, or hooked Survivor faces a 2% penalty to repair, sabotage, and Totem-cleansing speeds. If there are four injured, dying, or hooked survivors, the speed of repair, sabotage, and totem cleansing is reduced by 12%.
- Hex: Face the Darkness (The Knight) – Injuring a Survivor in any way ignites a Dull Totem, which activates the Hex. While the Hex is active, all other Survivors outside your Terror Radius will scream every 25 seconds, revealing their positions and auras for 2 seconds each. When the Survivor dies or becomes healthy, the Hex totem becomes dull, and this perk is deactivated.
- Hex: Thrill of the Hunt (General Perk) – Gain a token for every Dull and Hex Totem that remains on the map. Each token grants you 10% more Bloodpoints for Hunter-related actions. Survivors’ cleansing and blessing speeds are reduced by 10% for every token.
- Ultimate Weapon (The Xenomorph) – When you open a locker, this perk is active for 30 seconds. Survivors entering your Terror Radius scream, reveal their location and become blind for 30 seconds. This perk goes on cooldown for 30 seconds.
Pig Generic Build

This Pig build is effective for controlling the map and pressuring survivors. It limits early generator progression, punishes survivors for rescuing teammates, and disrupts generator repairs.
- Corrupt Intervention (The Plague) – The Entity blocks the 3 generators furthest from you for 120 seconds at the start of the trial. Survivors are unable to repair these generators for the duration. A white aura appears around affected generators.
- Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance (The Artist) – At the beginning of the trial, up to 4 random hooks are changed into scourge hooks. You can see their auras in white. You start the trial with 4 tokens. The first time each Survivor is hooked on a scourge hook, you lose 1 token, and the generator with the most progress explodes, losing 25% of their progress and beginning to regress.
- Hex: Plaything (The Cenobite) – The first time you hook a Survivor, they become Cursed, and Hex: Plaything is activated on a Dull Totem. The Cursed Survivor has the Oblivious status effect until Hex: Plaything is cleansed. When the Cursed Survivor gets within 16 meters of Plaything, the totem aura is revealed to them. For the first 90 seconds, only the Cursed Survivor can cleanse the totem.
- Dead Man’s Switch (The Deathslinger) – When you hook a Survivor, Dead Man’s Switch activates for 30 seconds. While activated, any Survivor who stops repairing a generator before it is completely repaired causes The Entity to block the generator until Dead Man’s Switch’s effect wears off. A white aura appears around affected generators.
