The Unknown is a mysterious and sinister power, surrounded by stories of weird disappearances and disturbing occurrences. Fear and anxiety are caused by its presence, from a woman vanishing on stage to creepy encounters in abandoned areas. Some say it is the consequence of ancient rituals or failed government experiments, while others suspect supernatural origins. Olivia’s journey to discover its mysteries leads her into darkness, where truth and legend combine and the threat of the Unknown grows huge.
Today, we’ll look at the builds that Otzdarva and D3ad Plays used to achieve 50+ winning streaks alongside The Unknown, and we’ll give you the two best builds to maximize its strength.
Otzdarva’s Best Unknown Build

With the arrival of The Unknown, Otzdarva discovered a character he both enjoyed and found incredibly strong. This led to an impressive 50-game win streak, with this build he used playing an important role in his success.
- Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance (The Artist): Converts up to 4 hooks into scourge hooks at the start of the trial, which are visible as white auras. Each Survivor hooking on a scourge hook consumes one token, causing the generator with the highest progress to explode, resulting in a 25% loss of progress and regression. Pain Resonance deactivates once all tokens have been consumed. Otzdarva points out its utility, emphasizing how it slows generator progress and contributes to overall map control and pressure, making it an important perk in the build’s strategy.
- Pop Goes the Weasel (The Clown): Instantly regresses the next generator you damage by 30% after hooking a Survivor, active for 45 seconds. Otzdarva praises its ability to disrupt Survivors’ progress, aligning with the aggressive Unknown build.
- Lethal Pursuer (The Nemesis): Reveals all Survivor auras at the trial’s start, with the duration extending each time auras are displayed. Otzdarva values it for early-game targeting, facilitating efficient initial chases and map control.
- Nowhere to Hide (The Knight): When a generator nearby is damaged, survivors’ auras are revealed. Otzdarva considers it critical since it has insane tracking capacities, allowing the Unknown to pinpoint Survivors’ locations, also across the map by teleporting.
D3AD Plays’s Best Unknown Build

D3AD Plays achieved an impressive 75-win streak with The Unknown, building on his earlier 50-win streak within just 3 days of the character’s release. This was the build that was the most consistent throughout the streak.
- Corrupt Intervention (The Plague): Blocks the 3 generators farthest from the killer at the beginning of the trial, preventing survivors from repairing them for 120 seconds. D3AD Plays utilizes this perk to control the early game by limiting survivor access to distant generators, and time to set up.
- Pop Goes the Weasel (The Clown): Instantly regresses the next generator you damage by 30% after hooking a Survivor, active for 45 seconds.
- Brutal Strength (The Trapper): This perk accelerates the destruction of dropped pallets, breakable walls, and generators by 20%, allowing him to keep pressure on survivors and effectively control the area. D3AD Plays prioritizes Brutal Strength as a key part of his build, despite some changes to his loadout during his winning streak.
Best Unknown Add-ons

- Device of Undisclosed Origin – Survivors entering the aura range of a hallucination become Oblivious.
- Hypnotist’s Watch – Survivors hit by an airborne UVX Projectile become Exhausted for 10 seconds.
