dbd best twins build

Charlotte & Victor Deshayes, known as “The Twins,” are a dynamic Killer duo in Dead by Daylight. Introduced in CHAPTER 18: A Binding of Kin on December 1, 2020, and retired on January 8, 2024. Charlotte can summon her twin brother Victor, who moves swiftly and uses a pounce attack to injure Survivors. Utilizing their Blood Bond power, The Twins can effectively hunt together. To maximize their potential, we’ll explore three twins builds: a beginner-friendly non-teachable build, their optimal build, and an aggressive build.

Twins Best Non-Teachable Build

dbd Twins Best Non-Teachable Build

This build is the perfect starter kit for The Twins, featuring beginner-friendly, non-teachable perks.

  • Sloppy Butcher (General Perk): Inflicts Haemorrhage status effect on Survivors for 90 seconds. Inflicts Mangled status effect on Survivors for 90 seconds. Increases bleeding frequency for Survivors. Decreases the healing regression rate for Survivors.
  • Oppression (The Twins): Damaging a generator causes up to 3 additional generators to regress and triggers difficult skill checks for Survivors repairing them.
  • Coup de Grâce (The Twins): Gains 2 Tokens whenever a generator is completed. Increasing the distance of your next lunge attack by 80% per token.
  • Hex: No One Escapes Death (General Perk): Activates when the exit gates are powered. Increasing your movement speed by 4% and applying the Exposed status effect to Survivors if a dull totem remains on the map.

This build focuses on utilizing the Twins’ ability to apply constant pressure and disrupt the progress of Survivors.

Sloppy Butcher and Oppression are used to make it more difficult for Survivors to efficiently heal and repair generators. Coup de Grâce provides an offensive boost, allowing for extended lunges to catch Survivors off guard. Lastly, Hex: No One Escapes Death serves as a powerful endgame tool to secure final kills.

Best Twins Build 2024

This build is perfect for keeping Survivors injured and preventing healing, increasing the chances of successful slugs and overall wins.

  • Forced Penance (The Executioner): Survivors who take protection hits are inflicted with the Broken status effect for 80 seconds.
  • Corrupt Intervention (The Plague): At the start of the trial, the three generators farthest from you are blocked by The Entity for 120 seconds.
  • Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance (The Artist): The generator with the most progress explodes and loses 15% progress when a Survivor is hooked on a Scourge Hook.
  • Dead Man’s Switch (The Deathslinger): After hooking a Survivor, any Survivor that stops repairing a generator before it’s fully repaired causes The Entity to block the generator for the next 30 seconds.

The perks that keep Survivors injured are beneficial because they increase the likelihood of a good slug occurring. With more injured Survivors, the higher the chance of winning.

With this build, you will have good generator defence. Forced Penance will keep survivors injured if they try to body block or take hits for someone else. This is also a very good build when going against SWFs trying to body block for each other.

Aggressive Twins Build

This build maximizes Survivor pressure by applying multiple status effects and strategically disrupting their actions with powerful hook-based perks.

  • Deathbound (The Executioner): When a Survivor heals another Survivor for one health state while at least 32 meters away from The Twins, the Survivor performing the healing action will scream, revealing their location and activating Deathbound for the next 60 seconds. During this time, the Survivor will suffer the Oblivious status effect when they are farther than 8 meters away from the healed Survivor.
  • Forced Penance (The Executioner): Survivors who take protection hits are inflicted with the Broken status effect for 80 seconds.
  • Scourge Hook: Gift of Pain (The Cenobite): When a Survivor is unhooked from a Scourge Hook, they suffer from the Hemorrhage and Mangled status effects for 90 seconds. The first time the Survivor is healed, they suffer a 16% speed penalty to healing and repairing actions until they are injured again.
  • Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance (The Artist): The first time a Survivor is hooked on a Scourge Hook, the generator with the most progress explodes, losing 20% of its progress.

The Forced Penance Twins Build is great for putting continuous pressure on Survivors with multiple status effects and strategic hook placements.

Deathbound keeps healing Survivors on edge, making them more vulnerable and easier to track. Forced Penance punishes Survivors for taking protection hits, keeping them in a weakened state for longer periods.

Gift of Pain further slows down Survivors’ healing and repairing actions. Forcing them to spend more time getting back to full health. Pain Resonance disrupts generator progress, ensuring that your presence is felt across the map.
