Dead By Daylight fans have much to enjoy this April, including the release of the latest killer, The Ghoul, plus a fresh update for The Houndmaster, a huge overhaul to quests and challenges, and the 8.7.0 PTB. While we wait to see what’s next for Year 9, we can look at who’s been dominating the fog lately. The April 2025 stats are here—let’s dive into the DBD most played killers based on NightLight data.
Dead by Daylight most and least played killers – April 2025
NightLight provides a great snapshot of the current DBD meta. The stats for April 2025 are based on matches tracked between March 19 to April 16, covering 21,472 games. These aren’t official numbers from Behaviour Interactive, but they come from thousands of player-submitted matches, giving us a reliable look at what’s going on in the fog.
Most Played Killers in April 2025
The newly released Ghoul shot straight to the top, appearing in 4,629 matches—over 21% of all tracked games. The Mastermind followed in second with just over 1,000 matches, and familiar favourites like Huntress, Blight, and Legion round out the top five.
Below are the top 10 most played killers in DBD for April 2025 based on pick rate:
Rank | Killer | Games Played | Pick Rate |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Ghoul | 4,629 | 21.56% |
2 | Mastermind | 1,008 | 4.69% |
3 | Huntress | 948 | 4.42% |
4 | Blight | 950 | 4.42% |
5 | Legion | 776 | 3.61% |
6 | Nemesis | 623 | 2.90% |
7 | Shape | 619 | 2.88% |
8 | Ghost Face | 550 | 2.56% |
9 | Wraith | 521 | 2.43% |
10 | Spirit | 514 | 2.39% |
As expected, new content usually dominates the stats, and The Ghoul is no exception, with an insane 63.25% kill rate. However, as players get used to facing him, they’ll likely find ways to counter him. It’s also interesting to see old staples like Wraith and Spirit still clinging to top 10 popularity despite years of competition.
Least Played Killers – April 2025
At the bottom of the barrel, some killers continue to struggle with player interest. The Twins once again hold the title of least-played killer for the month, with just 158 games tracked. Skull Merchant, The Hag, and The Artist aren’t far ahead, while Demogorgon rounds out the bottom five. Whether it’s due to complicated mechanics, lack of updates, or just stiff competition, these killers continue to get overlooked.
Here are the 5 least played killers in DBD for April 2025 based on pick rate:
Rank | Killer | Games Played | Pick Rate |
---|---|---|---|
35 | Demogorgon | 252 | 1.17% |
36 | Artist | 234 | 1.09% |
37 | Hag | 188 | 0.88% |
38 | Skull Merchant | 182 | 0.85% |
39 | Twins | 158 | 0.74% |
These numbers show a pretty big gap between the top and bottom of the roster. With The Ghoul pulling over 4,600 games, and Twins barely scratching 150, there’s definitely a meta forming—and some killers are getting left behind.
