potions in Minecraft 1.21

Minecraft potions add a unique element to your gameplay and make survival interesting and fun. From healing potions that can save you in the heat of fights to the night visions brews to help you explore dark caves, Minecraft potions are a game changer. Many players know a little about them and find it hard to brew them. In this blog post, we will discuss all the 19 potions in Minecraft 1.21, their recipes, and help you brew every one of them.

How to Make Your First Potion in Minecraft?

To brew a potion in Minecraft, you require a brewing stand. The crafting recipe of a brewing stand includes one blaze rod and three cobblestones. You can get a blaze rod in nether fortresses as a drop when you kill a blaze mob. Then, put three cobblestones in the middle row of a crafting table and the blazing rod in the centre of the top row, and you will get a brewing stand.

Once you create it, you will need some blaze powder to fuel it. To get blaze powder, simply place a blaze rod in a crafting grid, as shown in the picture below.

This will get you blaze powder. Now, go to your brewing stand and place the blaze powder in the top left corner. Now, your fuel bar is full. Next, you must get some glass bottles crafted with three glass blocks. Fill them with water, and place them in the brewing stand. As you can see, you are now ready to brew any potion in Minecraft 1.21.

Every Potion Out There in Minecraft 1.21

There are 19 different potions available in Minecraft 1.21. Some of them have positive while some of them have negative effects. The common element about these potions is that 18 of them require you to turn these water bottles into awkward potions. You can do this by placing a nether wart in the topmost portion of your brewing stand with three water bottles inside it. This will turn your water bottles into awkward potions. You are now ready to brew them into whatever potion you want.
