The Demogorgon was the first non-human killer introduced in Dead by Daylight, named after a creature from Dungeons and Dragons and popularized by “Stranger Things.” It comes from a different dimension called Upside Down, and enters our world through a portal, causing chaos. Some people believe that it can sense blood but no one knows for sure. In this post, we’ll explore the best Demogorgon builds to maximize its potential.
Best Demogorgon Build

Use the most effective regression perks for the Demogorgon most broken build. This build allows for early portals, portal setup, and control of important windows, and generators.
- Corrupt Intervention (The Plague) – At the beginning of the trial, Corrupt blocks the 3 generators farthest from you, highlighted by a white aura, preventing survivors from repairing them for 120 seconds.
- Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance (The Artist) – Converts up to 4 random hooks into scourge hooks at the start of the trial, displayed with white auras. With 4 tokens, each survivor’s first hook on a scourge hook consumes 1 token, causing the generator with the most progress to lose 25% progress and regress.
- Pop Goes the Weasel (The Clown) – Allows the next generator you damage after hooking a survivor to lose 30% of its current progress instantly. This effect lasts for 45 seconds after hooking a survivor.
- Bamboozle (The Clown) – Bamboozle increases your vault speed by 15%. When you vault, The Entity blocks that vault location for 16 seconds.
Slowdown Endgame Demogorgon Build

For this Demogorgon slowdown endgame build, all these perks combined will slow down the game at the start, middle, and end, when you don’t actually do much and can focus solely on using your power and portals.
- Corrupt Intervention (The Plague) – Blocks the 3 farthest generators from the killer at the start of the trial for a certain duration, preventing survivors from repairing them. These generators are highlighted with a white aura.
- Deadlock (The Cenobite) – Blocks the generator with the most progress for 30 seconds after it’s repaired, indicated by its white aura during this period.
- Coup de Grâce (The Twins) – Gains power each time a generator is completed, accumulating up to 5 tokens. Spend one token to boost the range of your next lunge attack by 80%.
- No Way Out (The Trickster) – Accumulates tokens after hooking survivors for the first time. Upon the exit gates being powered, survivors triggering the gate switches notify you with a loud noise. The Entity then blocks both exit gate switches, with the duration increasing by 12 seconds for each token held.
Demogorgon Hex Build

The Demogorgon is highly effective in protecting hexes. This Demogorgon build also includes an information perk and a backup plan in case you’re in trouble and survivors get rid of your hex totems.
- Discordance (The Legion) – Highlights generators within a 128-meter range that are being repaired by two or more Survivors with a yellow aura. When triggered, it generates a loud noise notification and maintains the aura for an additional 4 seconds after the conditions are no longer met.
- Hex: Devour Hope (The Hag) – Devour Hope Gains tokens when a Survivor is rescued from a hook at least 24 meters away. 2 tokens, the killer receives a 5% Haste status effect after hooking a Survivor. 3 tokens, Survivors suffer from the Exposed status effect. At 5 tokens, the killer can kill Survivors directly. These effects stay up as long as the related Hex Totem is standing
- Hex: Undying (The Blight) – While Undying is active, Survivors within 4 meters of any Dull Totem have their aura revealed. When another Hex Totem is cleansed, its Hex transfers to the Hex: Undying Totem, deactivating Hex: Undying. Any tokens associated with the transferred Hex are also transferred.
- Hex: Pentimento (The Artist) – This perk allows you to see the auras of destroyed Totems, and convert them into Hex Totems. Each activated Hex Totem reduces the speed of Survivors’ repair, healing, recovery, and exit gate opening by 30%. If you activate all five Hex Totems, the Entity will block all Totems.
